Are you a thriller lover? Thriller is a great as mood freshener. Thriller can help you to conquer reading slump, a quick psychological thriller can be your savior in midweek blue and who can denied how it helps in sharpening our brain. Thriller accounted as light read but it contained food for brain. Here are some of my favorite thriller recommendations for you.

The Inmate by Frieda McFadden

Any author you discovered this year? At the beginning of this year, I read my first book by Frieda and immediately I found my new favorite in the Psychological thriller genre. Thanks, @penguinindia I got a chance to read more books by her and every book is an unmatched, nail-biting thriller. She never failed to make me glued to the book.

Inmate is my fourth book by Frieda.
When Brook Sullivan got the job as nurse in prison she was praying to God that she must not come in front of Shane because, after all, she is the one who put him behind bars. But what makes me annoyed is besides all these Brooke shows herself as an emotional fool, she becomes weak whenever she sees Shane. Shane tried to kill her and she still felt soft for her killer. Oh no please don’t be so stupid girl!

There are three rules Brooke Sullivan must follow as a new nurse practitioner at a men’s maximum-security prison:
1) Treat all prisoners with respect.
2) Never reveal any personal information.
3) Never EVER become too friendly with the inmates.
Brooke did all the wrong and I hate the emotional fool protagonist, that’s the red flag for me in any book.

But what I love about this book is that it is a highly intense nail-biting drama and how Frieda created two suspicious characters simultaneously. When Shane accused her childhood friend Tim as a possible murderer and Tim also said Shane is the most possible killer both seem correct in their position. I couldn’t figure out what to believe!

That dilemma was brilliantly maintained till the last, oh my gosh its’ intensity, the tension was killing me. Absolutely brilliant; suspense flawlessly waved throughout the book and made it unputdownable.

Highly recommended to all thriller lovers, be ready to be intoxicated by her writing style, and add a new favorite author’s name to your list.
This is a fantastic 5/5 psychologically suspense thriller.

The Locked Door by Frieda McFadden

Some doors are locked for a reason…

This line gave me all the blood-chilling vibe. Frieda continued to give back-to-back cold chilly sensations in my nape.

Locked Door is a highly gripping, heart-pounding, clever psychological thriller that reached its pinnacle with a jaw-dropping twist.

Father-daughter serial killer, pulsating atmosphere, and sharp character all knitted skillfully.
Nora Davis is a doctor with a devastating past life that she brilliantly hides from everyone, this is almost a new life that she’s maintaining hard to live properly. If people knew her father was a serial killer her life would be ruined. She never tried to meet her father in jail and never replied to his letters. Suddenly after 20 years, the killing starts again just like her father’s style but who is the new killer? Obviously, the police know Nora’s history and they are keeping an eye on her.

With a pacy narrative author constantly explores human psychology, lust for blood and flesh; inhuman desires that skillfully blend with twists that make every character a possible killer. Very well-crafted strategies and pulsating storytelling style almost gave me a heart attack in a revelation chapter.

It’s an absolutely blood-chilling, page-turner with a jaw-dropping twist that keeps you up all night. Psychological thriller lovers don’t miss this.

Hunting Time By Jeffery Deaver

Hunting Time by Jeffery Deaver started very slow for me. This book is a part of the Colter Shaw Series, it’s a new thriller adventure with Shaw. You can read this as a stand-alone too.

Lack of character development makes the plot clueless and felt like a clump of incidents that I couldn’t connect with. But after that, it turned into a surprisingly breathtaking, unputdownable book. I knew it, it was Jeffery Deaver, my book choice can’t be wrong.

Allison Parker heard her husband had been released from prison, and he is now after her and their girl. Parker’s husband was also in the detective department so it’s hard to get protection from the police, precisely now, because her husband got released as a merit of good nature and behavior, how can she prove her husband is after her, he wants to kill her. Every horrible incident from the past is now echoing in her mind. Parker knows her husband is a sociopath and it’s hard to describe anyone what is called a sociopath.
And then a breathtaking, blood-chilling hunting game begins.

Parker doesn’t know her mother asked for help from Colter Shaw. Now Calter Shaw and Parker’s husband, both are searching for them. In this highly intense situation, Parker’s daughter made a mistake, she uploaded a photo on Instagram, and now anyone can track the mobile location and get them easily, Parker must run fast. Her daughter didn’t trust her mother’s precautions, she doesn’t believe a single word of Parker’s. It’s natural for any daughter, they don’t want to believe that the father is a ruthless monster. Now it’s a high-voltage drama, who will find them first, Colter Shaw or Parker’s husband?

The story flew at lightning speed and reached its’ jaw-dropping, revealing climax. After that very slow beginning, every bit of the plot twists and character development was absolutely fabulous.

It was a great suspense thriller. For me, it’s 4/5

Thieves Gambit By Kayvion Lewis

Thieves Gambit
Laced in romance it’s all about adrenaline rush and an uplifting narrative that takes you on a ravishing journey, a game, a competition of thieves that is twisted to a jaw-dropping ending.

It’s that kind of plot that makes you fall in love with thieves, constantly evolving between 9 teenage thieves, and 9 teenage thieves and they can be ruthless to win the game.

When Ross Quest entered the Thieves Gambit competition she didn’t expect that she would meet her arch enemy Noelia. Ross entered this game to rescue her mother but others are here only for fame.
But Devroe has his own little secret.
Some jaw-dropping truths and mind-bending reality were uncovered during the game and Ross found a new perspective on seeing relationships differently.

At some point it feels a little bit dragged, this is an action-packed thriller and the thriller should be tightly edited. I think it could have been better with a little editing.

This is a high-octave, YA action drama with a dash of young romance. I enjoyed this.

Rating 4/5
